Tournament Saturday

Postby Tommy » Tue May 26, 2015 10:33 pm

Clan {DOU} 1v1 Uzi Single Elimination Tournament
Saturday, May 30th, 11am EST until finished

This tournament is open to the public, and all are welcome.

Due to the nature of a single elimination tournament, the amount or rounds to be played will not be known until we know how many people are playing. As such, those of you who will make it to the final rounds should plan on spending 3 or so hours in this tournament. 50 percent of the players will be eliminated in the first 20 minutes.

Each round will be a best 2 out of 3 maps with a 30 frag limit or 10 minute time limit, which ever comes first.

Maps for each round are as listed below.

There are no rules for this tournament. Any type of run and gun style as well as camping is allowed.

Any person caught running an illegal cheat will be expelled from this tournament and barred from any future tournaments.

Clan {DOU} will be hosting 20 game servers for this event in the hopes of preventing players from having to wait too long for their next rounds,. Remember, if there are 100 players, there would be 50 first round matches. Please be patient and we will get all of the matches run as quickly as possible. A list of all the servers will be made available Friday night after the tournament signups have closed.

The use of team speak is required for this tournament. This is so we can communicate with players and give out server assignments and passwords. Even if you do not have a mic or just do not wish to speak, you will need to connect with team speak. We will be able to communicate by typing on the server. Also, you will be welcome to create a channel and talk with you opponent while playing, but this is not mandatory.

Friday night at 8pm EDT signups will be closed. At that time the seeding arrangement will be given one last shuffle. Do not assume you will be playing the person you see on the roster before that time as it will probably change.

How to enter:

First, go to and sign up for the tournament. Please write down your user name and password as you will need these to report your match scores.

Next, go to and post in the tournament area letting us know you will be playing. This is where we will communicate with you prior to the tournament and give updates and information.

Example Game Server:

Please feel free to connect to the above server ahead of time to make sure you are configured correctly. The example game server is as you will play except for not being set for a 1v1 match.

If you feel the need to do so, go ahead and record a client side demo of your matches. This way we can review it later if an issue arises.

Anything not mentioned in this post will be addressed on the DOU forum.
